Organisation Update

ACPF RD&E meeting: 15 ACPF members attended the RD&E meeting in person or by phone on Wednesday 27th September 2017 in Sydney. Key topics included a summary of RD&E investments to date including concepts under construction, community engagement advice presented by Futureye, and the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources presented work underway to attempt to adapt the Emergency Animal Disease Response Agreement to benefit wild catch fisheries.

The RE&D meeting was followed by the 2017 Annual General Meeting. Sefan Diacos, A. Raptis and Sons was appointed at the AGM as a Board Director. The ACPF welcomes Stefan’s experience that spans commercial fishing, retail and seafood marketing.

The 2017 Board consists of Simon Clark (SA), Felicity Horn (who replaced Phil Bruce in May 2017) (WA), Eric Perez (Qld), Terry Richardson (SA), Tricia Beatty (NSW), Dylan Skinns (Austral), Kim Justice (SA), Stefan Diacos (Raptis) and Annie Jarrett (NPF). Annie Jarrett was re-elected by the Board as ACPF Chair.

The membership of the Board continues to bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and a solid commitment to building on the considerable achievements of the ACPF to date.

2017/18 Membership Levy: The ACPF meeting approved a membership levy of $525 for 2017/18 with an additional $143 to recoup ACPF’s membership of Seafood Industry Australia. Levy invoices will be sent out shortly.
