Country of Origin transparency for seafood in food service

The ACPF has made a submission on the Federal governments’ planned implementation of Country of Origin (CoO) labelling for seafood in hospitality settings. indicating support for SIA’s position for mandatory removal of food service’s exemption to provide origin transparency for seafood. The ACPF also supports flexibility and discretion to promote origin and celebrate provenance.  The Australian wild prawn industry is in a good position to support the food service sector with product and information when CoO labelling is implemented.
