The Christmas and Easter markets for Australian prawns were lively, with producers experiencing strong demand and good prices for prawns all around the country at both peak buying periods. It was great to see consumer confidence and demand for Australian prawns after a rocky 2017.
Market expectations for both domestic and export markets are high, with all our prawn fisheries commencing 2018 fishing operations in March and April.
